Lucifer's Mansion, Monday Morning
The house was an utter mess.
Empty bottles and empty delivery containers were liberally strewn across several rooms. There had been at least one 'accident' with broken plates, and there were shredded clothes in the walk-in closet. Nevermind the stains.
It looked like three teenagers had spent a full weekend partying in there, which was probably because they had. Eventually they'd passed out in Lucifer's bed, one of Samael's wings stretched lazily over the other two occupants.
The other one had wound up sort of wedged between the bed and the nightstand, which meant Lucifer was now waking up - slowly - to one Hell of a crick in his wing.
"Mgh," he mumbled, not quite awake, and tried to pull his wing free.
[[ for the other two here. this will go well. ]]

He technically hadn't seen him just now. Duke had avoided looking at him, in fact.
"Are you okay?"
no subject
Come on, she hadn't been okay in years.

He sighed, shutting his eyes, and just leaned into her for a long moment.
"I missed you so much."
no subject
"Ai don mema yu we seintaim." Felt like she was saying that all the time, lately. "Deimeika."
That part, she hadn't said enough.
no subject
"Let's, uh. At least move this conversation to Luce's kitchen, instead of his hallway?"
no subject
Like Duke himself had been, not so long ago.
no subject
It hadn't. His boat was just fine. Though Polly had maybe declared himself the new captain.

She stepped back, bending down to grab the clothes off the floor.
The snake on her leg was finally starting to itch.

"Let me just --" He jerked his thumb towards Lucifer's closet. "Need a shirt."
He wasn't sure where the handful he'd stripped out of a couple days ago had ended up.
no subject
She pulled on a shirt that didn't fit her. And it didn't matter to her at all.
no subject
He was very quick in the closet, though. Coming out with the least dressy shirt he could find within easy reach of the door.
"Need to grab anything else?"
no subject
She was looking back towards Lucifer's bedroom.
no subject
"C'mon. He'll find us when he's ready."
He was just going to firmly tell himself that over and over for the next . . . however long it took.
no subject
"Okay," she muttered.
One thing at a time.
